How to use this Resource

‘Reimagining the Manor' aims to increase understanding, relationships and contact with the Quantocks landscape and its heritage. Educational engagement is central to this aim. We encourage all education settings to explore this free resource and to visit the Quantock Hills National Landscape and the local galleries and museums highlighted here.

Watch our films for a virtual experience of the Quantock Hills. Each of the films come with activity sheets, providing inspiration from artists, direct from their studios, with techniques, equipment lists and further ideas for curriculum planning.

You can use the search bar at the top of the page to find a particular theme, place, habitat, technique or subject.

Partner Schools

Thanks to the support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund we are able to support a small group of partner schools to participate in a wider creative programme.

These schools have been involved in the consultation and development of the project and will be invited to take part in a funded events program.

The funded creative program gives these schools access to artist led seminars and workshops linked to the project themes and to events on the Quantock Hills for staff and pupils. Partner schools can begin by booking a presentation from the Landscape Partnership Team for classroom or whole school assembly or by using the films and activity sheets to plan creative classroom activities.

‘Most creative projects come to us with a couple of weeks’ notice and run for a maximum of 6 weeks this project allows us to build on experiences and skills over period of time – rather than box ticking. A depth of knowledge and experience is more beneficial to students in terms of their learning and progression and we can adapt to specific needs as the project progresses’
